A Comprehensive Review of Large-Strain-Extrusion Machining Process for Production of Fine-Grained Materials

Bulk nanostructured metals and alloys are finding increasing structural applications due to their superior mechanical properties. The methods that rely on the severe plastic deformation technique for effecting microstructural refinement through imposing large strains utilized mostly produce materials. machining process has been demonstrated as a simple by single pass of cutting tool where in range 1–15 can be imposed variety materials varying conditions geometry. However, geometry resulting chip subjected during is not under control and, hence, variant process, called large-strain-extrusion proposed extensively producing bulk Large-strain-extrusion possesses simultaneous over microstructure refinement, managing strain large-strain machining, shape dimension extrusion process.
